Summer in 500 Days of Summer Fashion!

She (and her wardrobe) stole our hearts in 2009.

Summer is the kind of girl that guys, especially adorable guys like (Joseph-Gordon Levitt’s character) Tom, fall hard for. Down-to-earth, the kind of girl who will karaoke with you, everything about Summer is relatable and inspiring, including that to-die-for vintage-inspired wardrobe of hers. Wearing seemingly nothing but mascara, little-to-no jewelry and having a knack for mixing vintage pieces with feminine touches is the key to Summer’s 500 Days of Summer fashion.

You could argue that Summer’s style is essentially Zooey Deschanel’s style—and we may agree with you—but there is no denying that Summer Finn’s style is timeless and worthy of emulation. She put shorts with tights back on the map. She inspired a slew of girls to dress for their bodies and embrace patterns and florals and dresses with full skirts. In other words, we’d like to steal her entire wardrobe. But since that isn’t an option here are a few of our favorite picks.

Dressing up ala Summer Finn: It’s all about ’60′s inspired pieces and feminine details.

All dresses from ModCloth; Earrings-Betsey Johnson, flats-Etsy; Peep-toe heels-Chinese Laundry at Macys.

How Summer Does Casual: No jeans and t-shirt for this girl. She remains cute as a button and oh-so-stylish even on casual days.

Tights- Target; Polka Dot Blouse-House of Fraser; Black Twill Shorts-Anthropologie; Denim Shorts-Forever 21; Peasant Top-Macys; Yosi Samara Ballet Flat-Intermix.

Keep in mind that Summer is also about simple little touches like headbands, cute bags and great shoes/flats. So test out this look and bat those lashes- you’ll have adorkable men like Tom falling at your feet in no time.
