Let’s just say you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Supplies:
- ~ 2 yards of rope (Walmart)
- Carabiner
- Hot glue gun
- Hemp
- Athletic tape
First double your rope and make a circle.
Then make a pretzel by crossing both sides of the rope.
Tuck both ends of the rope underneath the bottom half and pull.
Adjust your knot and it should look something like this:
Put athletic tape around the edges of the end of the rope so that the rope does not fray.
Put hot glue on both of the tips of the rope and press them together. To make sure that the closure is secure, put another piece of athletic tape over the glued area.
To create an aesthetically pleasing closure, wrap hemp around the taped area. Make sure to glue the hemp down so that it does not slip off.
Slip the carabiner right on and you’re done!
Now you have the perfect necklace to spice up any outfit! I liked the way mine looked with a striped shirt. Oh so nautical!
