How to Wear Cropped Trousers

What’s your look? Are you a Marilynn or an Audrey? Curvy sexy or perky prepster? No matter who you are and what your style, capris and cropped pants are one of the most versatile pant styles to have on hand.

As our weather turns to the unpredictable temps of fall, capris are the perfect solution to your what to wear problems – not too hot and not too cold. But how to wear cropped trousers? Capris and cropped pants come in a variety of lengths to flatter every body type. Short? Choose a more traditional capri that is closer to your knees to make your legs look longer. Sometimes a tight cuff works, while sometimes a flare is more flattering. Tall drink of water – aka willowy? Choose the thinner cut crop to accentuate your long lines.

Work? Capris and cropped pants are classic and thus acceptable in most offices. They also come in a variety of fabrics from cool cottons to warmer wools. Gym? Capris are the BEST option for workouts. Who wants to deal with short shorts at the gym? Who wants to get over heated in full-length work out pants? Why not pick the length that works for you? Capri workout pants ~ in shorter yoga pant styles which are often loose at the bottoms or in longer styles that hug your legs (Right: Compression Capris, $23) ~ are absoultely the BEST option for running, exercise classes, weights…pretty much every exercise except swimming!
