Get Into the Metallic Accessories Trend

You’re likely to see the metallic accessories trend everywhere this summer. And, let me tell you, the more outlandish, the better. That being said, since it is very easy to go overboard with metallics, you’ll need to know how to make it work without looking like your newest look has been inspired by aluminum foil. Here are our favorite ways to get into the summer trend:

Wear It With White

Metallic jewelry, flats and handbags (like this one from Amazon) look great next to a stark white outfit. A crisp pair of linen pants, a white tank and a white blazer would be one way you can let the metallic accessories shine on their own. A simple white sundress is another way to pair a few choice metallic accessories such as a cuff bracelet or a pair of dangly metallic earrings.

Bun or Pony Up

A rockin’ hair trend this season has been to add metallic accessories into your simple ponytail or bun. Cuff style bangles are being used as ponytail holders while metallic clips are emphasizing a simple ballerina bun (check out these amazing clips from ASOS!) . The accessories are especially eye-catching on brunettes.

Choose One Statement Piece

With metallic accessories, less is more. For instance, a silver handbag or a chunky gold belt is plenty to plan an outfit around. An adorable pair of bronze ballet flats (like these from Lucky Brand) can also help you work your summer outfit.
