The right pair of jeans can make all the difference in how your body looks. Jeans that don’t fit correctly can make your behind, hips and belly look much larger, causing you to compensate by slouching. Although certain jeans don’t look the best on the rack at stores, you’ll be amazed at what they can do for your figure once you try on the right jeans for your body type.

Curvy Bottom

If you have a pear-shaped body, you should avoid styles of jeans that are tapered and have a very tight fit. This will just accentuate your problem spots. Instead, choose jeans that are high-waisted and have a straight leg cut. Women with an hourglass shape, small waists and bigger butts, like pear-shaped girls can also benefit from contoured style jeans that are cut higher in the back. Keep in mind that a dark wash are very slimming as well. Rock those curves!

Tummy Troubles

Low-cut and skinny jeans can make tummy troubles worse and give you the dreaded muffin-top. Instead, try boot cut jeans with a regular or slim fit. Instead of going for a high-waisted look, choose a middle range rise about eight inches between the waistband and inseam.

Tall and Short

Cropped and slim cut jeans are best for petite girls. During the colder months, you could opt for boot cut jeans. If you’re vertically blessed, you definitely have a large number of options for jeans. Skinny jeans and other slim cuts look great on taller girls. Although boot cut jeans work for tall girls, you can also wear flare jeans.

Finding the perfect cut of jeans can make all the difference in minimizing your trouble areas and enhancing your assets. Find great styles at Lucky Brand, Gap, Macy’s, and Old Navy!
