Studs Trend Alert: Tell Me About It, Stud…

By Nicole Gordon — October 28, 2012

The studs trend is here to stay, it seems! We know. We know. Sometimes studs on a piece of clothing or an accessory can come off a little too “biker babe” or ’80s chic, but this season it’s all about the hard edge meeting soft femininity somewhere in the middle and creating an ah-mazing look!

From studded leather jackets on the runway to studded wallets at Target, the studs trend 2012 is one that makes a statement no matter your budget. Women are wearing this look to the office and for nights on the town. After all, when it comes to studs, it’s all about how you wear them, not where you wear them.

Now, we aren’t saying that you should run out and buy every studded piece at the mall — be sure to use good judgment when rockin’ your studs. Think less Mad Max and more sophisticated edge. Think less Lady Gaga and more Carrie Bradshaw going downtown. This year’s studs trend resurgence is a bit more ladylike than it was in years passed — like the frosting on a very fashionable cake.

Bottom line: You want to look like a lady who people adore and who no one will mess with. Here is a bit of inspiration, from purses to boots to jewelry!
