I Do: Summer Wedding Style

Being invited to a wedding in the summer often means attending an outdoor affair. Even if the reception is indoors, the ceremony may be on the beach, in a garden or at a lakehouse. Either way, it also means that you get to wear vibrant hues and dresses that can be a bit more flirty and fun than those you would wear to a fall or winter soiree.

This summer all cocktail dress signs point to coral, pink and other bright tones. Found in every size and silhouette, from halter to cap sleeve, these jewel and citrus hues and lively floral prints will be to blame for your full dance card. Stores like Nordstrom, ModCloth, and Bloomingdale’s have the perfect summer frocks for your summer wedding style and all the parties on your busy little calendar. For shoes, the season is all about metallics, brightly colored wedges and platforms, and natural hues. The good news is that the middle of summer often means big discounts on summer dresses and shoes as stores try to make way for Fall Fashion. With colors this vibrant and styles this chic, the temperature won’t be the only thing that’s hot.
